Vet Center

Vet Centers provide non-medical counseling and assistance to veterans and their family members related to military service in a war zone or in the course of deployment during war.

Vet Center staff holds in the strictest confidence all information disclosed in the counseling process. No information will be released to any person or agency without written consent from the client, except in circumstances averting crisis. Vet Center records are maintained separately from other VA records.

Services for veterans and their families

The Military Services and Family Support program is a prevention and early intervention program that addresses the negative effects of traumatic events and other unique challenges of military life by providing in-home behavioral health services. These services are for veterans, active military, reservists, National Guard, and their families.

Services include:

  • In-home screenings and assessments
  • Case management and referrals
  • Peer support groups
  • Psychoeducation
  • Individual, couples and family counseling
